About Us

Exercise in Care was founded by Jordan Todd, a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist from Devon.

Whilst caring for a family member with dementia, he saw first hand the benefits that activity and socialisation could bring to the elderly and set about putting his love and knowledge of fitness into the creation of Exercise in Care.

Recognising the need for fun and engaging exercise sessions for the older generation, he started offering classes to local Care Homes around Torbay. The sessions were so popular with residents and staff, Jordan's personal diary was quickly filled so it was time to bring on additional trainers to provide more sessions around the South West!

Each trainer is hand picked by Jordan to ensure that every member of the team shares the same passion for bringing accessible and enjoyable exercise sessions to every Care Home and resident.

Exercise in Care classes are science-backed and enjoyment led, with chair-based activities and games to enable all residents to participate. The sessions are great for both physical and mental health due to the group setting which provides a fun and stimulating way to socialise with others, whilst improving general fitness.
